Actually not really, the current ad system is temporary and the only payback with them is if someone actually puts an ad on our spot. Otherwise the clicks dont add up as it would if say we could use google, but someone turned us in to google ads so they wont let us serve ads here anymore.
Im still looking for the best solution, i do not want to weigh our site down with millions of ads and affiliate banners as the other marijuana sites do, its tacky and really shows that their site owners are tryin to cash in off their stoners/members, our goal here at DankSpot is to break even if possible, and try to return over profits to our members. I have other sites that are made for profit and DankSpot is here because I LOVE THE WEED and YOU LOVE THE WEED, this was and never will be ment as a source of income for us, We have researched other similar top weed sites and concluded their users are making them a HEFTY amount of cash every month via their stats + all the ads + affiliate banners - hosting costs, but we kept coming up short where they were giving back to their community for padding their pockets, we in the end felt this isnt the way we wanted our community to grow.
Sooo, we may try diffrent solutions untill we get one that fits and dosent drown the site in ads. In the end, we just want ads to pay for server and running costs then it free's up extra cash to give back to our community.
