Re: Help with cleaning game disk. This is what i do with old game disks. I wash them in a light soapy soluition to get the dust and grim off, so it wont scratch the disk further and Use a Disk Docter($35.00) at most stores. No Batteries Needed!!! The Disk Docter pollishes the serface and helps to take the scratches out. Something elce to try that ive also done is to make a copy of the disk in your computer. The computer seems to be able to read the disk better than the game box and sometimes you can get a good disk from a bad one. Last chance for disk retrivel--if the other things i mentioned dont work, Ive used Hard Shell Turtle wax to shine the serface. The wax once pollished becomes clear and the disk readible through the new wax finish. If you get a readible disk from any of these steps you should copy(if Possible) so you have a fresh disk to use. Happy Gaming all!!!
ps. Just a very thin coat of Hardshell Turtle Wax. dont gob it on ok!!! |
