gRamz: 27,176 | Ok, I bought this cleaner thingy from circut city and it was like 70 bucks, it stated all over it could take scratched and unreadable and polish them back to normal. Thing is it didnt come witha wall adapater, so I added a bunch of brandnew C batteries to it which it required and OH man it just made it worse. The batteries didnt hold enough juice to get it all the way thru its cycle. I ended up ordering the wall adapater, but untill this post I hadnt realized it never came. but i ended up just buyin a new game for the one the cleaner destroyed. And I can't tell you if its works any better with the adapter, I can only say be very very weary of the ones you need to use batteries with lol. Good luck, hope this helped a little. |

![]() | ummm i posted my reply earlier. anyway to see if i did pot it, really thought i did. from what ive read probably buy a cleaning liquid(herd alcohol based) and super soft cloth. wipe radially(from the center in straight lines to the outer edge, stead of circular.) |

![]() | This is what i do with old game disks. I wash them in a light soapy soluition to get the dust and grim off, so it wont scratch the disk further and Use a Disk Docter($35.00) at most stores. No Batteries Needed!!! The Disk Docter pollishes the serface and helps to take the scratches out. Something elce to try that ive also done is to make a copy of the disk in your computer. The computer seems to be able to read the disk better than the game box and sometimes you can get a good disk from a bad one. Last chance for disk retrivel--if the other things i mentioned dont work, Ive used Hard Shell Turtle wax to shine the serface. The wax once pollished becomes clear and the disk readible through the new wax finish. If you get a readible disk from any of these steps you should copy(if Possible) so you have a fresh disk to use. Happy Gaming all!!! ps. Just a very thin coat of Hardshell Turtle Wax. dont gob it on ok!!! |
