Well here I am again to start the newest adventure. We harvested our 2 plants about a week ago and God it is good. We wanted to start our next crop but because of Kaloris' problems we defiantly wanted to change some of the problems that we were having. We went to our local hydroponic shop Bloom & Grow and asked them about some alternative watering methods. In the end we ended up getting: 2ft- 1/2" Irrigation Line 1ft- 1/2" Soft Line 1/2" T-Fitting New EarthBulb 150W 2,800 Lumens Pretty much a good collection of stuff. Anywho, for our new watering system I drew up a diagram on how it is put together: ![]() It's pretty simple but it should work a lot better and consistently then our last. We used to have a line from our water pump to a 6 way splitter but since the holes were so small it wasn't pumping enough water through. ![]() ![]() (This is not done but at the beginning) ![]() ![]() ![]() We haven't yet planted the seeds but that will come later tonight. Oh I had a question. What do you guys think of leaving the lights on 24/7 for the veg portion of the grow because I read that the only reason to have any darkness is for producing buds. I dunno just a thought. Questions? Suggestions? Alright I'll be back with more pictures soon!

very cool set up, if you have tin foil or aluminum foil in your cabinet, you should take it down and paint it flat white, thats the most reflective color u can get and ts supposed to be more reflective than even a mirror. I like your hydro set up and want to know more abt it, whats the flow rate of those lil tubes and whats their inside diameter? Keep up the good work and the posts

The grow cabinet is aluminum foil lined, the dull side, opposed to the shinny side that will create hot spots. As for the inner diameter of the reservoir tube its 1/2 inch circumference, the tube walls are about a millimeter thick if that’s what you are asking. The woodpecker water spouts flow is 2 gallons per hour each. I have 1 150 watt equivalent 2800 Lumen 5000k, I also added 3 100 watt equivalent, 1600 Lumens 6500k each.

![]() | Looks SUPER solid! BTW, 'A Million Little Pieces' is a great book!!! ![]() A question for you though: I see you didn't cover the tops of your rockwool with peat pellets. I put pellets on top of my rockwool...should I take them off? Can't wait to see more!! ![]() |

We don't have them on there for the germination period. We plan on covering the rockwool with hydrodone after the little sprouts make their way up. As soon as they break to the top we will cover up the rest just to make sure no mold or algae grows on it. And 'Million Little Pieces' is a great book no matter if its real or not.

![]() | It's mostly real! He just exaggerated a few things to make the story more exciting and dramatic. Oprah Winfrey ruined his writing career by saying he 'made up the WHOLE thing' when in reality he only exaggerated truths... Another question then: After germination do you guys put the seeds in the rockwool to grow with light, or without light for the first few days while it sprouts? I've heard both. Some say the germinating seeds/seedlings can't handle light, others say you have to give the seed/seedling something to grow towards... |

No you need light just think of them out in nature if there was no light would mean no heat so light is necessary. Good questions though! I can't wIt to see the little buddies!

AHHHH!!! In like 3 hours 3 out of 4 have sprouted or are just about to!! I'm so excited! Here are some pictures! Btw I numbered them so it's easier to determine which one it is. We are still deciding on names so if anyone has any suggestions that would be much appreciated. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() See!!! I looked down into the rockwool on the 1st one and it is starting to sprout but just hasn't reached the top yet. But today has been a very good day.

Nope, we don't like to do it that way. We just stuck the seed in the rockwool and let them do their thing. Theres less stress on the taproot once it cracks because they are not supposed to get any light or really be touched in general. They are very sensitive at that age.

Nononono they didn't sprout within 3 hours of me planting them although that would be awesome. They were planted on the 25th and they sprouted yesterday in the 3 hours we were out shopping. It was a great surprise to come home to! We put the seeds in the rockwool and have the bubbleponic system running so they were being watered. As soon as the buddies get a little bigger we will put hydrodone all around to cover the rockwool so no algae or mold will grow. But you have to see them now! I will post pictures soon!
