Seven years ago i was arrested in Arizona for Parafinila. This is not a state you want to get busted in. I went before a judge telling him i was not read my meranda. the officers involved lied and i was sent to jail for 2 months, 700 dollar fine and 6 hundred hours community service. While i was in jail i was told that the judge i saw lost his daughter to a drug overdose a month earlier. So there i am in jail with a felony charge on me. After all was compleated i applied for another judge to review my case. It was booted out and i am no longer a felon. However i did serve time and fines and community service for something i should of been let loose for(under prop 200) as it was my first drug related offence and only recieved probation. This is for your information. You can ask for a new Public Defender if yours dont fight for you and also you can request another Judge to do your case if you think your judge is bios in the case. Being it was my first big scrape with the law i did not know these things. Also the law enables you to file papers on your first felony to have it excused only one time. So you can go back and become a productive part of society. I hope this helps you all out in some way or another. You do have rights, Sometime it may be necessary to use them.

ps Arizona is a no tollerence state so beware!!!

Damn that sucks dude! I always try to keep up with the laws and such about herb atleast, and now in my state if your caught with a qp or less the officer doesnt have to take you in they can just give you a ticket unless they want to take the 6-8 processing hours and filling out the paper work for a bag of weed. paraphenlia here in texas is just a 500 dollar fine and thats it.

Ouch bro! Yes, you can change your attorny a total of twice and Judge once. This is VERY GOOD INFO to know!

I also know Nevada is a no tolerance zone, the last i remember a buddy got nailed for a felony there (about 10 years back) with just 3 (THREE) seeds sitting in his ashtray, mind you this was when there was more seedy redbud than green around, and he just happen to flick three in his ashtray and forgot. Tons of fines, and all that trouble back then over 3 seeds that woulda never grew anything even if planted cuz there were squished when the pot was made into a LB anyways.

another reason to love wa, i was 16 years old and got busted with a half ounce on me, the officer looked at it,looked at me told me he was keeping it and for me to just keep walking, told me not to get pulled over by any other cops. The next day my dude heard about what happend and gave me a half ounce. WA's mj laws are extremely slacked in tacoma and seattle marijuana busts are the last of offences for an officer to act upon so most of them just turn a blind eye to it. im sorry it happend to you though Bob that sucks, other states need to follow WA's example, i know alaska,ca,and oregon did, and now NH. Gotta love NORML(Marijuana Law Reform - NORML)

Reading American drug horror stories always makes me glad that I live in Canada. A friend of a friend had his house raided. They got him with 30 lbs and a pound of oil along with all the lights. He had the case thrown out of court because the officer involved was a rookie and didnt have his report and his testimony straight. I know of quite a few people that have had their dope taken by the cops and either dumped or put in their pockets. Here the cops seem more concerned by the meth heads and crack heads.

valley my friend got caught with some seeds and when the judge saw that he was like "SEEDS???"
