93 Nissan Trucks

Hey how many of U guys have these double walled body, 2.5 lt. , 5 speeds still and how do U rate their performance as a compact truck ..

I love mine best money I spent on a truck LoL ..
140,000 something on it now & still runs great !!
Have'nt done anything but change the fluids put tires on it LoL ..
And it has never not pulled or hauled what ever I put a logging chain too LoL ..

My boy & a friend wanted to take a from ky. to west coast , to LA and up north Cal. back across to home .. They said well guess we will rent a small truck and camp ..

So I say son why don't U take my truck !!
Oh I don't know dad, LoL, its kinda getting old !!
When they found out how much a rental truck would run for that long a trip LoL ..
Boy say dad how much money have to spend on ur truck to make it good for a trip like that ?
I say GAS LoL !! So I say ok U take truck to big O have oil changed and rotate & bal. tires ,,,
Tire stuff is free, oil change cost about 14.00 then,, and change oil rotate & bal. before leave west coast ..

They was gone 7 weeks and put over 11,000 miles on it ,, Only thing happened was they tore the screen off one side of topper window and scrached up topper paint with a tree limb in yellow stone park backing into a camping spot ..
I say what U boys do to my topper ?
Oh dad it was them bears in yellow stone park U know how they tare stuff up ..
But when we watched camping vidio they took U can clearly see my son backing up truck and holloring at 2 fine girls walking past camp site and backed into trees LoL .. I say them bears out west got real big titie's son LoL ...

Nissan trucks and toyota trucks made before about '90 are notorius to rust all to hell in the climate I live in, because of the salt used on all the roads in the winter....but the fact they still run great is a testament to the mechanical integrity of the truck.. Ive seen more than one with Km over 250K.
Not sure what that is in miles?

Yeah! Watch out for them bears!! I lived in Louisville for a year and my ex and daughter still live there. Going on three years. Awesome city! I have lived in seven states and 18 cities. Louisville is on top of my list. Nice story, thanks for sharing.

The 93 yr. modle truck ,

Was first yr. nissan producded the double wall bodys just to combate that problem ..
I live in ky. and salt is a problem here too ..
But that old truck of mine is dull paint compared to how looked new ..
But not a spot of rust on body ..
This is also the same modle came out with the 2.5 eng. in it and still today holds most powerful record for any compact 4 cylder truck ..

Cool.. Just needs a coat of paint then...Did they make it in 4X4?

Oh I could'nt paint it ,, My car would be jealous ..
Oh yah they made it in 4x4, and could still get a 4cyl. disel that yr. if ordered it ..

I had a friend bought a 80s nissan disle truck, a little smaller body but it was a good truck ..
lil 4 cyl. disle eng. hauled and drove well ..
