I had a duster with a slant 6 good lil everyday car
about 20 mpg as gas had went up to $ .45 a gal.
I used to visit a friend lived out in country ..
And back then once U got out of Louisville 20 miles or so nothing but lil hick towns with speed traps ..

I got to tickets in one of them in 3 weeks, Not even speeding, just had a out of county plate and thats what they looked for ..

So after paying them Rednecks I said not any more LoL ..
My step dad had a friend wit a junk yard ..
I say hey I need a big motor for that lil duster ,,
He says I have a 3 yr. old plymth with a 440 himi
low miles ..

We worked out a deal, I buy motor & tran. he keeps my old motor & tran.s for labor ..
Few weeks later he calls says its ready ..

I get car and soon find out just a touch of gas lighs up tires no matter what gear ur in LoL ..
It cherped the tires just putting in reverse bacing out of driveway ..

I went to moms house one day,, dad says Iam gonna run ur mom up to store be back in a minute gonna take ur car ..

I did'nt think about new motor or anything say cool dad ,, Next thing I know Dad is across the street in nabors yard all up in their flowers LoL and cussing up a storm ..

I go over ask what happened dad .. I started ur car, put it in reverse steped on the gas next thing I know car shoots over here tires smokein ..

Dad used to the lil 6 banger and had to give them a lil gas .. He did same wit new stuff and it rocked him out of drive LoL .. This eng. was smokein from factory ..

I went to see my friend few weeks latr ..
I say they not gonna get me again ..
We go into li town and dupty is setting there I pull up beside his car and cherp wheels few times then give him the finger & pull away ..

Lights on he pulls out after me ,, I kick it in 3rd. pull away take ramp to hwy 64 ..

He.s up on my ass yeling pull over U son of a bitch
over PA,, ford 500

I say my buddy now watch this !!
I jam it back in 3rd. stomp it to the floor red line it, throw it in 4th. mybud yells damn man u doing 110, ya and watch it climb baby reaching over and patting the dashboard we crossed the county line in jefferson county I pulled over sat ..
awhile later we see him tur around at couty line
Just t be a ass I drive back down 64 and pass his ass flyig LoL .. he did'nt even try to catch me again ..
Law were different back then they could not persue U into another county .. That changed in 1980 ... My bud had to have the car LoL ..
saying man U got 3 cars sell it to me ..
so I did LoL .. Loved the days when U could buy a nice used car for $1000 put few 100 in motor and have one of the fastest cars around town LoL ..
And back then all the companys had a big V8 to go in their pony cars and all wold fly ..
