|  first time growing hey this will be my first time growing. i have 15 seeds and they are random seed mix so idk what i got. I'm interested in growing and i was told from a grower that as a beginner i should start off with hydroponics and with the following 4 items that he recommended. hes usually not on so im here for more info 1. SH Hydroponics, Inc. > Bucketeer DWC Kit 2. SH Hydroponics, Inc. > Stealth Hydro pH Test Strips - 80 pack 3. SH Hydroponics, Inc. > Stealth Hydro pH DOWN Powder 4. SH Hydroponics, Inc. > Stealth Hydro pH UP Powder i would like your opinion on those 4 items. i was told by a grower a month ago that those 4 things are good for a starter/beginner etc. AND is all i need. so i wan't an opinion before i order them. also i will be using LED lights. i already order/purchased two of these = i could try to get a 50-80watt hps on top of that to light up during the night. any opinions? |

| Re: first time growing maybe have one of these in the middle of everything while its growing = its affordable and small. considering i'm just interested in growing one plant. what you think? one of those on top of the LED panels. |

| Re: first time growing well personally "for a noob especially" u will have less problems to deal w/ in soil...but if u must go hydro Y buy tha dro kit u suggested for $49.95 when u can go to walmart and get a 5gal bucket,aquarium air pump,air tubing & airstone for a total of like $22!! but u will also need 2 get net pots and hydroton (i just use perlite) 4 it.....and then u of course need lighting.....the more bubbles u can get it 2 produce the better!!!.....i use the liquid ph down and test kit but tha test strips work 2.....my tap water is @ a ph of like 8.5 so u wont need any ph up,only ph down......hid lighting puts out more lumens than led's but they will work......hope this helps u ... | Re: first time growing Led's are gud for growing other things, but not really gud 4 Canna I believe.I would spend money on a gud HID rather than LEDS. |

| Re: first time growing since u already ordered the led"s "yuk" overr priced and under achievers,i would reccomend soil to start with it's a lot more tollerant of mistakes.fight the good fight. peace |
