Default HYDROPONICS SYSTEMS

There are many hydroponics systems out there but here are
ones that are most commonly used.

- Nutrient Film Technique - NFT
- Flood & Drain - Ebb & Flow
- Drip Irrigation System
- Aeroponics
- Automatic hydroponics Pots
- Manual hydroponics Pots

NFT

An NFT system is an all-in-one system. In other words the
reservoir which holds the pumps and nutrient solution is contained in
the same system. These systems are generally very flat and long. There
is a constant flow of nutrients to the roots and back to the reservoir.

FLOOD & DRAIN - EBB & FLOW

An Ebb and Flow is another all in one system that is
recognized by its depth. The grow medium is located above the
reservoir which pumps the nutrients and water to the roots at a set time
and rate. This means that during the day the plant will go through
spells of dryness. The nutrient solution is pumped into the medium
and is slowly drained back into the reservoir again. The whole unit
recycles the nutrient solution at timed intervals.

DRIP IRRIGATION SYSTEMS

The Drip Irrigation System is another all in one system that

feeds the plants individually. The plants are located in separate
chambers and the nutrients are fed to the medium by a small dripper.
The solution is drained through much like an Ebb/Flow system.

AEROPONICS

These systems are generally expensive and are used by
professional growers. The unit itself can be recognized straight away
by its design. The plants are grown in a medium that is placed into
slots along a lengthy tube. The tubes can run anywhere from 1 meter to
20 meters in length. Inside the tube are nozzles which mist down the
roots of each plant with grow nutrients. The reservoir, which contains
nutrients, is kept outside of the tube in a tank. The nutrients are
pumped from the tank to the nozzles and then the remaining solution
that drips from the plants is drained into another tank that is normally
checked before being reused again.

AUTOMATIC HYDROPONICS POTS AND MANUAL
HYDROPONICS POTS

These are pots that are used for growing one plant at a time.
In each pot a pump delivers the nutrients (or they are manually fed by
hand), into the bottom of the pot until the nutrients reach the roots.
The roots then suck up as much as they can until they are dry. Once
the roots are exposed the pot is fed with more nutrient solution again.
These units are good for the grower who wishes to grow big bushy
cannabis plants in a simple stand-alone unit.

Think for yourself. Question authority.

hi, im a indoor grower faily familiar with hydroponcic grow , i grow with a soil less medium called Pro Mix, anyway that bubbleponics an light i looked at. very very nice set up. my suggestions are to flower them as soon as they are rooted well, keep them short, minimize branching, an maximize cola and bud production. your system is designed to grow smaller plants, SOG (Sea Of Green) or SCROG (Screen Of Green) , also i suggest keeping a eye on your PH regularly.

sweet thanx for all the input. I will get this setup. but have never done this before i know i need a short plant. I dont know much about it i dont even know how to start them flowering or if i have to. But i am a quick learner so i should pick it up quickly. Feminizied seeds mean everyone is a female plant? correct?

go with 100% indica or close 2 should be nice and short, you trigger flowering by putting lights on 12/12 (12 hours on, 12 off) except auto flowering plant which i dont know much about.. i think, feminized means female

Just a small tip - most of the growers ive spoke to told me to grow in soil before you try and grow any other method - just to get you used to how things work and stuff like that

Yes, feminized seeds are 100% female, and a very wise choice. It will save you alot of time on sexing, and wasted space on males. I grew Utra Haze #3 seed plants, they all were female. IF you can get any cuttings, ( clones ) i highly recommed growing clones rather than feminized seeds. Remember, Clones are already established, there 100% female, and u can flower them as soon as there rooted. seed plants ( even feminized ) seed plants will have to be grown a ( minimum ) of 8 inches tall before they are able to be flowered. if u have feminized seeds, i highly recommend u turn back to 12 hours of light off, and 12 hours of light on, when the seed plants reach 8 inches tall. BUT clones can stay much shorter , an flowereing triggered immediately if desired.

man u guys are great..... thanx again for all the input. But i got a couple of more stupid newbie questions. I decided to get a pc planter instead ( due to lack of room, 3 kids, and im not trying to cut a profit just smoke for free) But i understand to trigger the flowering u go to 12/12, but what do u ut the light on for the veg stage or in the begining?
