Some of you keep wondering how some people play really good quality sounding music over the mic in the stonercams while others quality sounds very poor well here are some quick steps on how to do it in Windows XP from a few little tricks i figured out


Starting at your main desktop you want to open up your start menu:


From the start menu you want to navigate your way to the volume control
(Start) -> (All Programs) -> (Accessories) -> (Entertainmen) -> Volume Control


Once you start your Volume Control you will want to make you way to the properties window by clicking the options selection on the toolbar
(Options) -> Properties


Now that you have your properties window open you will want to select your proper Audio mixing device which will be your computer sound card other devices will be things such as web cams and USB based headphones and microphones.


After you have selected your proper Audio device you will select what your adjusting your volume for.


The section your going to want to click on is your "Recording" option

After you have selected to adjust your Recording volume control you will want to check and make sure you have your "Stereo Mix" volume control checked


Once you have checked your "Stereo Mix" you will want to click your OK Button


After your OK button has been selected you will notice your window will have changed it may not look like this one but very similar at least. You will want to find your "Stereo Mix" inside this and at the bottom of the screen you may notice a check box if its unselected, Click it


After selecting your mixer close the window


You will want to open up your browser, and make your way to the stoners chat after you have registered and logged in.


Once on the chat you will want to right click on the chat somewhere and a window will pop up you want to then left click on your "Settings" option


Once the options window is popped up you want to click on your "Microphone" option selected in red here

In the microphone tab for your microphone you will want to select the same mixer device you just set up under the volume control which will be your PC's sound card device.


------------- Optional if you haven't set up your microphone and webcam permissions -----

Select your permissions tab which is the second from the left as shown below


Once there check and make sure your settings are set to "Allow" and "Remember me"

Once done with the steps above close the settings window

After this is all done and set start up your favorite audio program such as Winamp or Media Player Classic create a playlist and start playing your music then turn on your microphone by selecting the option on the top left hand corner and setting it to auto detect




I hope this tutorial helps a few peoples a couple problems come up in this

Firstly all sound on ur PC is ported through this so people may hear messenger client beeps and other such noises

Secondly you cant use your normal microphone in this option you will want to select your microphone device back to the microphone port in the volume control or set your microphone device to a secondary device in the flash chat settings to something such as a USB headset or a microphone on your camera
