Is it true that certain types of weed are more prone to giving you panic attacks or paranoia? I have had anxiety attacks in the past, mostly when I am not stoned, but I heard many people tell me that smoking the killer freaks them out.

Some people do feel paranoid when they smoke. I'm not sure exactly if the type of bud that makes a difference, but maybe the potency. I believe that when people get paranoid from smoking its not just the marijuana, but the type of person. I used to get a little paranoid, but I just tell myself to chill out and I get over it. I smoke weed everyday all day for years now and I don't get panic attacks. I feel it actually calms me.

weeds effect, like almost all drugs, depends on a few things.
mainly tho its your mood, if your relaxed with good friends and have no worries i dont think youd be freaking out.

also i dont think the weed matters thc is thc.

i have never had a "panic-attack" when i was blazin'.....ppll need to chill it and relax. dont smoke more than you need!!! not everyone can be me!!! lol j/k

I think it all depends on how much you smoke. My generation is famous for smoking til we're high, then keep on smoking until it's all gone. But my old man (he's 9 years older than I am) when he smokes he smokes til he's high, then stops til he needs to smoke more. I've gotten paranoid from smoking too much. But as for a panic attack, that's only happened when I smoked and snorted too much stuff and thought I couldn't breathe.

I suffer from anxiety disorder and they tried to put me on all this medication to stop me from having panic attacks. I hated having to take medication that i dont even know what it is everyday so i just smoke to chill out.....i dont think weed can bring on an anxiety attack. I smoke for my anxiety, but maybe thats just me.

I did hear you can have panic attacts and getting paranoia with eating magic mushrooms, did you ever tried thos?

I think it all depends on the person and their tolerance. If you have no tolerance whatsoever, and you smoke some killer stuff, then there's no telling how it can effect you. Or if you smoke something that's been heavily laced, there's no telling how it'll effect you either.

the illegalness of the bud is what i've noticed making me paranoid,.when most everyone thinks your just "high" to be high and starts judging ya with possibilitiess of gettin in trouble for doing nothing wrong, can get too ya.

When I was a teen i didn`t get the same high. It was a nice mellow high. Now if i smoke my heart races. I think its cause I take meds now or maybe the stuff they got these days is just more potent. I don`t know which it is.

It has me before. I quit for like 2 years because of the freak outs. And i mean this was home grown weed to. The Dro didn't do it so i don't know what was up with that whole issue. Maybe i'm just a freak.
